About RMS

Rand Management was established in January 1984 by Nic du Toit.

The head office is centrally situated in Northcliff, Gauteng, South Africa and is well equipped with a staff compliment of approximately 6 professionals, trainee accountants and support staff. Rand Management has a large client base in and around Pretoria, Johannesburg and overseas and has built up an impressive reputation in the accounting profession over the years for service excellence and personal attention. We constantly ensure we are up to date with all changing tax and company laws.

Nic du Toit – Management

Nic is an experienced accounting practitioner with a sound knowledge of South African accounting and tax principles. He is a highly experienced, well established and specializes in management, accounting, tax and company structuring.

Nic also consults for estate planning, trust structuring and efficient tax planning to suit the needs of all natural and juristic persons.

Shannon Phillips – Management

Shannon is the Senior Accountant of Rand Management and has been working at Rand Management Services since 2008.

Her previous experience includes working for PWC in the Netherlands.

In March 2011 she qualified as a professional accountant with the Institute of Accounting and Commerce, and in 2013 qualified as an Independent Reviewer.

Taxation

Taxation Services Offered:

We assist by compiling the necessary documentation and submitting returns on time to SARS
We provide valuable tax advice and tax planning for you and your company
We are registered with SARS, as tax practitioners and therefore we are authorised by SARS to assist clients in calculation of taxes and submissions of returns.
We have a sound knowledge of forms and procedures that is implemented by SARS, and can therefore assist in these matters, saving you the time of sitting in long lines for hours, just to be sent away without assistance.

Annual Financial Statements

Annual Financial Statements are required in order for you to disclose information to CIPC and SARS. According to the Companies Act all companies have to compile annual financial statements 6 months after year end. You might also require Financial statements should you want to apply for finance or a bank overdraft. This is the responsibility of the Directors or Members of Companies and Close Corporations.

Registrations

All companies who employ staff are obliged to register for PAYE and should be submitting monthly returns.

If your company has an annual turnover of more the R 1 million you are obliged to register for VAT. You may also consider voluntary registration for VAT if you have an annual turnover of more than R 50 000, or if your suppliers require you to be VAT registered. You will have to submit returns to SARS.
